Partners Who Share Our Commitment to Honoring Veterans

At Once Was Inc, partnership is more than financial support — it is a shared commitment to honor, dignity, and remembrance. Our partners make it possible for us to reach veterans who feel unseen or disconnected after service, transforming generosity into meaningful programs that provide nourishment, fellowship, and hope. Through their belief in our mission, these organizations help ensure that no veteran is forgotten and that gratitude is expressed not only in words, but through action that restores connection and purpose across our community.

Our Admiral Partner, TC Energy, stands at the helm of the Once Was Inc mission—providing the leadership, faith, and generosity that make meaningful outreach possible.

TC Energy has played a vital role in strengthening our work by standing with veterans who too often feel unseen or disconnected after service. Their support ensures that veterans across Southwest Louisiana are honored not only in words, but through action—providing meals, fellowship, and meaningful outreach that reminds them they are not forgotten.

Through this partnership, TC Energy helps bridge the gap between service and civilian life, reinforcing dignity, gratitude, and community for those who have sacrificed so much. Their commitment is more than support—it is a lasting signal of hope for every veteran we serve.

Supporting Once Was Inc. and their work for local veterans is truly an honor. As the wife of a Veteran and someone who helps veterans through residential lending, I understand the challenges they face. Seeing their faces when they receive a meal, turkey, or ham fills my heart in ways I can’t put into words, and recently visiting the Veterans Home in Jennings with them touched me deeply. Raquel and Mike’s kindness and dedication inspire me every day, and I encourage everyone to get involved or support this amazing organization so they can continue helping even more veterans.

Spending the day with Mike and Racquel really showed the level of dedication they have to supporting veterans. Even though Mike isn’t a golfer, he stepped in as a teammate so the foursome could play—and that says a lot about his commitment. As a veteran himself, and with my own father having served, it meant something to be part of an event where the focus was truly on honoring and supporting those who served. It was a great day, a lot of fun, and one I look forward to being part of every year.
